Victorville is just north of the San Bernardino mountains, at the edge of the Mojave desert. Interstate 15 and State Highway 18 intersect near the heart of the city and Victorville is bordered on the west by State Highway 395.

The residential population of Victorville is approaching 78,000 and is growing rapidly. The Victor Valley includes the communities of Adelanto, Apple Valley, Hesperia, Lucerne Valley, Oak Hills, Phelan, and Wrightwood.
